Cookie Monster, 'The Aveggies' save day in 'Sesame Street' parody of 'Avengers'

So many vegetable puns, so little time.

"Sesame Street" has released an ingenious parody of "The Avengers: Age of Ultron," in which Cookie Monster battles his fiercest nemesis: a lack of cookies in his mouth and stomach.

Sure, "The Aveggies: Age of Bon Bon" may be on a quest to "save the healthy food" from a devastatingly decadent chocolate-chip cookie spaceship, but that doesn't mean anyone should stop Cookie Monster's Hulk/Dr. Bruce Banner alter ego, Dr. Brownie, from fulfilling his destiny.

"Me ready to turn green, get big, and eat giant chocolate ship," Dr. Brownie tells his Iron Man counterpart, Onion Man.

While trying (and failing) to learn a lesson about staying focused, Dr. Brownie can't help but eat Captain Americauliflower's cookie-shaped shield and Mighty Corn's marshmallow-shaped hammer head. With Dr. Brownie devouring many of the Aveggies' weapons, Black Bean Widow wonders how Dr. Brownie can complete their daunting munchie, er, mission.

"But you just ate a shield and a hammer," frets Black Bean Widow, with Zuchin-eye standing by. "You couldn't possibly be hungry."

In an homage to Bruce Banner's "I'm always angry" line from the first "Avengers" movie, Dr. Brownie replies, "That me secret: Me always hungry."

But Dr. Brownie will not rest as long as other foods may be out there, uneaten.

"So, uh," he asks his fellow Aveggies, "you guys want to go get veggie shawarma?"
