Bride’s 12-year-old daughter asks groom to adopt her during wedding

After seven years of waiting, one 12-year-old girl popped a big question at her mom's wedding: "Will you be my dad?"

How can you make a wedding day even more special? One 12-year-old girl found an answer to that question during her mother’s wedding.

Moments before her mother, Tia, was set to wed her soon-to-be-husband, Frank Tyson, Aryanna stepped up onto the altar for a touching moment of her own before the couple exchanged their vows.

While all of the guests at the wedding knew what Aryanna was about to ask, the groom was in the dark about the surprise that was to come as Aryanna handed him an envelope.

“I’ve waited 2,555 days for this moment,” Aryanna said before popping the question, “Frank, will you be my dad?”

Tyson teared up after hearing the question, immediately saying yes before embracing Aryanna into a hug.

What is the significance of 2,555 days? That’s how long that Aryanna felt as though Tyson was already her father. In an extended wedding video that was shared after the nuptials, the officiant even said, “It was always a joke that Aryanna was going to get Frank’s last name before Tia.”

Tyson also shared his feelings on the moment in a confessional style video after the wedding, explaining, “When she came up to the altar, I thought I knew what was about to happen and then as she started talking obviously I knew.”

“It was an amazing feeling. When she started reading her note and it all clicked, I just pretty much became speechless,” Tyson said, before reflecting on what the future holds. “The most I’m looking forward to is just her being her. Her being the social butterfly and becoming into a woman and who she is and just being herself: a strong, independent woman, is what I love most and just being a successful person.”

Frank, Tia and Aryanna are now waiting on a court date to make everything official.
